That was the challenge we tackled for the Guy Matthews Family Group. Nine family-owned pubs, each with its own loyal following, but no unifying brand to connect them.

Enter Piermount: a luxurious yet approachable name inspired by the family’s deep roots—from the Largs Pier Hotel to early success in Mount Gambier. The identity features the warm and expressive Denton typeface, blending 70s charm with modern refinement.

From its golden thread that ties venues together to its nods to history, Piermount embodies pride, quality, and the essence of “the third place”—a space of belonging and connection for all.
